Congratulations to our Competitive Girls Volleyball Team!

Congratulations to our Christ the King school Royals Competitive Girls Volleyball Team, winners of the bronze award (3rd place) in the MCSAA League (Manitoba Catholic Schools Athletic Association)!

Congratulations to Mrs. Teresa Edwards, our Grade 6 teacher, who was voted Teacher of the Month by QX-104 radio station in June! Mrs. Edwards and her students enjoyed a lunch courtesy of QX-104. Thank you to Adrianna C. for the nomination.

Congratulations to CTK Students Involved in National Math Contests!

More than 60,000 students across Canada participated in this year Math Contest – Mathematica Centrum.

CTK school had 40 students participating in this Math contest from grades 3-7 (Thales, Byron-Germain, Fibonacci, Pythagoras and Euler).

11 of our students received a Certificate of Distinction for scoring above the Canadian average! Each grade level had a school champion who scored the highest in the class as well as above the Canadian average. Those students were awarded a medal, symbol of great distinction.

Grade 6 Class to Participate in a Digital Field Trip of Juno Beach on May 2

Mrs. Edwards is organizing a Digital Field Trip of Juno Beach at 9:00 am on May 2. This is a live, interactive event through the American National WWII Museum in which a group of young people will be talking about D-Day and showing students the area of where the battles took place over an internet feed. This is a special event to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of D-Day during the Second World War. It will start at 9:00 am Central Standard Time.
