HOP, SKIP & JUMP-A-THON!

Christ the King (CTK) School is a Catholic School Community, Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8, committed to the full development of each child academically, socially
and spiritually. As an independent school, we are responsible 100% of the cost of improvements and renovations to the building and school grounds, so fundraising
events like our first ever HOP, SKIP & JUMP-A-THON are vital to the success of our school.

On Friday, May 25, 2018 CTK will be holding our HOP, SKIP & JUMP-A-THON fundraiser. This year’s theme is “With all that hopping and popping, there ain’t no stopping ”.
The proceeds for this event will support our playground project. CTK’s playground is indeed in need of a complete redesign and updating.
To help motivate our students, we will award prizes to top selling students, top selling classes and notable student participation. In order to keep our costs down and maximize this fundraising event, we are asking for prize donations of any kind and amount. In return for your generosity, we will appreciatively acknowledge your donation in our event communications and related media. Prizes worth $20 or more will be eligible for a tax receipt, if requested.

We thank you for your time and consideration. We hope you’re able to donate to our 2018 Hop, Skip & Jump-A-THON event. Please contact the CTK school office at
204-257-0027 or via email at walkathon@ctkschool.ca. A member of our coordinating committee will be happy to arrange pick up of your donation. We truly value your
generosity.

With gratitude,
CTK Parent Advisory Council

Plenty to celebrate for the Boys & Girls Volleyball Teams

These two tight knit teams not only shared a successful season of volleyball, they’re also leaving a legacy behind at CTK School. Both senior teams mirrored each other’s success on the court capturing some hardware for the display case and new banners for the gym wall. The boys and girls teams each finished the season as Consolation Champions, bringing two trophies to CTK. The girls team also won a plaque for coming in second in the St. Emile tournament. Even more exciting for the players are the two banners that will be seen by students at the school for many years to come.

The boys team picked up the championship banner from the St. Paul’s Outreach Tournament. The girls captured the banner by winning the St. Alphonsus Tournament.

Huge shout-out to the coaches; Mr. Kalichak (Phys. Ed teacher) and Mr. Sawatzky who coached the girls team, and Mr. Gordon, Mr. Harrington and Mr. Torres who coached the boys. With most of the players in grade 8, the success is even more special since this is their graduation year.

As for the students continuing at CTK in the fall, here’s to serving up more exciting seasons in volleyball.
